I am joining up with Five Minute Friday

During five minute Friday we are given a word prompt and free write for 5 minutes.

Learn more about the link-up and how it works here.

This week’s FMF writing prompt is: EXTRA

The first thing that came to mind is an image of a newsboy on the street corner hollering, “Extra, extra, read all about it!”   I had a twinge as I thought how I wish I was as dedicated with  my writing newsletters and blog posts as I wish I could be. Between lack of time, energy and a clear calm mind, I have been struggling to put words down.

I feel like I’ve been slacking on my writing time. My newsletters and blog posts are taking the hit from my low energy.  If only we could bottle it up from those (like little kids) who often seem to have extra energy.

I took a break early this month and did a thing (coming soon) and feel like I am ready to get back on track.

Also, I have to give a shout out to a newsletter reader who reached out to me as she’d noticed I was not popping up in her inbox or publishing new posts. The fact that someone noticed and cared gave me the extra boost I needed to get through a rough spell. Thank you Anna Celatto.
