Do you have that feeling that in spite of your attempts of making goals and lists you aren’t making headway? Reality is maybe that list is unrealistically long. Maybe break it down into priorities and baby steps. These are all things I think I am doing but yet each day I feel like I’m barely keeping up with all those things I am supposed to be getting done.

Progress

Maybe I need to challenge myself to put one to three things to actually finish each day instead of trying to do all of the things on my list at once.

Progress

It  looks different for everyone depending on what the end goal is. My goal is to keep swimming and not sink.  I’d like to be swimming faster and farther but maybe right now that is an unrealistic expectation. Maybe just keeping afloat is taking so much energy that it is enough. Fighting against the current of the river or the giant ocean waves. Staying afloat and moving a hair forward is in fact gaining ground.

Phillipians 4:13 ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”

  1. Keep swimming ???? I often describe myself as a swan at work. I may look like I’m floating along smoothly gliding but actually I am paddling like mad underneath. God bless visiting from fmf #7

  2. I share your frustration – it’s so easy to feel I’m not achieving anything.
But I try to apply a technique called the 4Ds that I teach my patients in fatigue management:
    Ask yourself (of your list):
Do I need to do it today? If not, delay it
Do I need to do it myself? If not, delegate it
Do I need to do it at all? If not, dump it
Do I want/need to do it? If yes, do it.
    I’m still practising though!
    God bless,
