Family Time: Movie Nights: Great 80’s movies

Having been a parent through the 80’s and 90’s and then we had the arrival of twins in 2002.  Suffice it to say that there are some older movies that we have enjoyed introducing the twins to.

I have rounded up several links of other bloggers posts about 80’s and 90’s movies that they felt were must see and I am creating my own list of which ones we felt were must see.

Here are some picks from previous bloggers lists.

22 films from the 80s I want my kids to watch before they’re 11

@Cardiffmummy

Well we didn’t introduce all of these to our kids before they were 11 but they are still movies that we felt we wanted to share the experience of watching with them. My picks from this post are in order of our most watched to least watched favorites

The Karate Kid

Back To The Future

Ghostbusters

Short Circuit

The Princess Bride

Annie

E.T.

An American Tail

Big

The Goonies

The Never Ending Story

Honey I Shrunk The Kids

The Land Before Time- We used to watch this one more when they were little.  I had a bunch of VHS from this series from one of my older children. The twins just didn’t love it as much as I did.
