Finding Direction in 2020 : Five Minute Friday Linkup
Direction in 2020
Well this post didn’t get published before the linkup was over but I am going to hit the publish button anyway. I am determined that this year I will not leave a pile of things unfinished.
2019 was a roller coaster ride even more so than previous years. There were health issues for extended and immediate family members. we then had an unexpected tragic loss in the family. I had another knee and hand surgery. I am determined I will NOT be having surgery in 2020.
I am going to admit here that I am nervous that I may have jinxed that. Shortly after I declared that I had my neurologist tell me they want me to see a neurosurgeon for issues with my spine. I am hoping they have solutions other than surgical or a bunch of prescriptions.
Mid fall last year our first foster child arrived and it has been a learning process for all of us. It has been something we have wanted to do for a long time. I want to make a difference and I feel like this is something God is calling me to do.
This year aside from improving my health by eating better and exercise I have a few goals for our homestead and for my blog. I plan to be more regular with my posting and to start making an income from being an affiliate and placing ads on my blog.
For the homestead I plan to do much better than we did last year with growing our own produce and doing better with my poultry planning. I tend to get lost in the chicken math especially when it comes time for spring chicks.
For self care I am making sure to take some time and do my favorite hobby that I have had since childhood which is escaping into a good book. I have joined up with a few reading challenges for 2020.
What are your plans for your 2020 direction? Tell me in the comments.
